Most of the books listed in the online catalogue are in Danish and all prices are in Danish kroner (DKK). Regrettably, I am not able to deduct the V.A.T. / Sales Tax for online orders from abroad. You are, however, welcome to inquire about discounts when purchasing larger amounts of books. In the catalogue, categories containing books in other languages than Danish have a bilingual title. Please be advised that I am not able to list my entire inventory on this website. If you are looking for a book not listed, feel free to e-mail me at info@akademisk-antikvariat.dk or antikvariat@tiscali.dk(whichever is easiest for you to remember).

Akademisk Antikvariat, deals solely in books. The business was founded in 1984 and now consists of two retail outlets in the city of Odense in Denmark plus an online shop at www.akademisk-antikvariat.dk . The business name was chosen not only to emphasize that we focus on non-fiction, text books and related reading material for scholars and students, but also to get first listing in the local telephone directory! We ship to anywhere in the world and will be happy to serve you in Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, English, German, French, Russian and a few other languages.

Since 2007 we have been offering certain parts (special interest and fiction mainly) of our catalogue through the website www.bogtorvet.net . This service is in Danish only.

How to purchase books

If you happen to find something in the catalogue that you wish to order, please use the 'bestil bøger' link on the left and fill in the online form.  You are welcome to add special shipping information and/or questions. We accept most payment methods, including PayPal in all major currencies. The details are listed here .
The payment options 'Efterkrav' (C.O.D.) and 'Giro' involving the Danish postal service are only available for delivery addresses in Denmark, Greenland and Faroe Islands.
Please note: Books listed in categories of the catalogue that are hosted by the search engine bogtorvet.net may be ordered and paid for, directly through that website (there is a direct link in each catalogue page). At this time, bogtorvet.net is only available in Danish. If you prefer, you may still order through us her at akademisk-antikvariat.dk by filling out the order form. We regret any inconvenience this transitional period may cause.
